Jill Duggar Posts About Being ‘Brave’ After Homeland Security Visits Her Family’s Home
Could the two be connected? After Homeland Security Investigations revealed their agents were present at the Duggars’ home located in Tontitown, Arkansas, last week, Jill Duggar shared a few videos to her Instagram Story about being “brave.” She posted photos of an open Bible with a journal sitting on it, with the cover reading, “She believed she was loved and it made her brave” as a religious song played over the clips.
On November 19, news broke that HSI had visited and allegedly raided the Duggar home. Local NBC-affiliated television station KNWA-TV initially reported the agency’s “presence” as a raid, but an HSI spokesperson specifically said, “[I do not dispute the information that] HSI was present there [Duggar home] pursuant to an on-going federal criminal investigation” and the outlet later clarified the reporting.
While Jill, 28, and her husband, Derick Dillard, stayed mum as the news broke, the Duggar family did eventually release a statement via their official Instagram page and Facebook profile. “We were shocked to see a news report today state that our home was raided by federal law enforcement agencies,” it began. “This is not true.”
The statement continued, “To the best of our knowledge, it’s also not true that any member of our family is the target of any investigation of any kind. Living a life in the public’s eye has taught us that it is best not to reply to every rumor and piece of ‘fake news’ that is circulated online. It would be a full-time job if we attempted to do so. However, because of tonight’s media coverage, we thought it is important to address this rumor with you. Thank you for the love and support that we can always count on in you our fans and friends.”
Additionally, Homeland Security investigators would not dispute allegations they raided a Northwest Arkansas business owned by Josh Duggar, KFSM-TV 5 News Online reported on November 19. The Duggar family statement did not specifically address that report.
The news came after the FBI denied any involvement in an investigation surrounding Josh following days of rumors of an investigation by the agency. In Touch has reached out to the Duggars and Homeland Security for comment.
Could Jill’s update about being “brave” have anything to do with an alleged investigation? Or was the journal quote a coincidence? Stay tuned.
