Homeland Security Investigations revealed their agents were present at the Duggars’ home located in Tontitown, Arkansas, last week, according to a new report. As of now, the reason for the visit was not disclosed.

“[I do not dispute the information that] HSI was present there [Duggar home] pursuant to an on-going federal criminal investigation,” a spokesperson told local NBC-affiliated television station KNWA-TV.

According to Washington County Personal Property Records obtained by KNWA, the address listed for Josh Duggar and his wife, Anna Duggar, is the same address as his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, in Tontitown, Arkansas.

Homeland Security Investigation has the “legal authority” to investigate all types of cross-border criminal activity, including financial crimes, money laundering, bulk cash smuggling, commercial fraud and intellectual property theft, cyber crimes, human rights violations, document as well as benefit fraud and more, per their website.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s 20-year-old son has since spoken out about the shocking report regarding the HSI raid. “I don’t live there and I am not aware of any investigation,” Jedidiah told the outlet.

The couple’s daughter Jana Duggar was also captured on camera and she denied knowing anything about the ordeal.

After the news broke, the Duggar family did eventually release a statement via their official Instagram page. “We were shocked to see a news report today state that our home was raided by federal law enforcement agencies,” it began. “This is not true.”

“To the best of our knowledge, it’s also not true that any member of our family is the target of any investigation of any kind. Living a life in the public’s eye has taught us that it is best not to reply to every rumor and piece of ‘fake news’ that is circulated online. It would be a full-time job if we attempted to do so.”

“However, because of tonight’s media coverage we thought it is important to address this rumor with you. Thank you for the love and support that we can always count on in you our fans and friends,” the statement concluded.

This surprising development comes shortly after the Federal Bureau of Investigation denied raiding Josh’s home amid rumors he was being looked into by authorities.

“We were not involved in any kind of law enforcement action [at the Duggar’s home],” an agent speaking on behalf of the organization told Radar Online. “I can confirm we were not there.”

Just a few days ago, Jim Bob, 54, made headlines because of Derick Dillard’s tweets, which were deleted shortly after he posted them. Jill Duggar’s husband vented his frustrations about TLC, claiming Jim Bob was the one who negotiated the Counting On contract “for everyone, but without telling anyone.”

Afterward, a fan referenced how Jim Bob “should not” be negotiating for the adults in his family, referencing how TLC “knows” that. Derick replied, “Yeah but all TLC is worried about is making that money, so if they can blame corruption on somebody else, but still get away with the benefits, then they’ll happily do so.”
