Jill Duggar Confuses The Heck Out Of Fans After Sharing A Pic Of Her New Nephew: ‘Thought You Were Expecting!’
Congrats are in order for Derick Dillard‘s brother! The 19 Kids and Counting alum took to Instagram to reveal he’s officially a daddy, but naturally, Derick tried to make it about himself. The former Counting On star baited his fans with a post that sure made it seem like Jill Duggar was expecting. Check out the video above to see what he posted.
Jill’s post, on the other hand, was pretty transparent — but still left fans confused. “So excited for another Dillard baby!!” she wrote on Sept. 6. “*link in bio to more pics!!* Congrats @deena.dillard and @justdand We can’t wait to meet baby Jax! #firstDillardcousin #jaxonmichaeldillard.”
Immediately, people began commenting on the pic, with one person writing, “I was so confused for a second! Congratulations on the new little bundle of joy Dan and Deena!” Someone agreed, adding, “Thought for sure you were saying that you were expecting. But this is great news, too! Welcome to the world Jaxon!” A third and fourth commented, “At first glimpse, I thought you were making a pregnancy announcement. Congrats on your new nephew!” and “I was hoping you were announcing a pregnancy!! Congrats, so exciting for the first time parents!” Another tagged a friend and said, “I thought they were having another baby.”
TBH, I have no idea how a fresh baby could be confused with a pregnancy announcement, but hey, who am I to judge.
Jill has been at the center of pregnancy rumors for months. Most recently, Derick took an awkward pic of his wife cropped from the chest up, and people immediately began speculating that she was expecting baby No. 3. “Is Jilly pregnant?” asked one fan on Instagram in June. “I think so, all her pics hide the belly,” responded another. Another chimed in, “I agree, what a weird way to crop the photo.”
So will Jill and Derick be giving baby Jaxon another cousin soon? Only time will tell!
