Helping mommy with the chores! Jessa Duggar posted the cutest video on Instagram of her son Spurgeon doing the laundry on Thursday, September 19. The 26-year-old said her little man “LOVES to help me move clothes from the washer to the dryer.” check out the sweet clip, above!

Jessa wrote that her 3-year-old was very meticulous and worked “item-by-item” to make sure he got all of his family’s laundry. She said a few things fell on the floor in the process, but hey, we can relate. As the tot made sure to grab every item of clothing, he climbed into the machine and yelled, “I— got you!” He even shut the door and started the dryer cycle all by himself. “So proud of his accomplishment! This was his first time to do it all by himself, and he was super excited.”

She added that letting your kids lend a hand may take longer to do the chore but it is great for kids to build independence. “I know as a parent, it’s easy to rush around, doing a bulk of the work by myself because it’s way faster,” she said. “But little kids love to take part in meaningful tasks with mom and dad. It’s good for us to slow down, let them come alongside us and feel the satisfaction of being our big helper.”

The Counting On star is also mom to Ivy Jane, 3-months-old, and Henry, 2. She shares her kids with her three children loving husband Ben Seewald.
