Snooki Claps Back at Troll Who Shaded Her for Calling Herself ‘Mawma’: ‘Word Drives Me Nuts’
Back off, hater! Jersey Shore alum Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi took to Instagram to clap back at a troll who made fun of the nickname her kids gave her. The 32-year-old mama of three hit back in the comments on Thursday, February 20.
“Unfollowing. This mawma word drives me nuts,” the dissatisfied follower wrote on a photo captioned, “Mawma’s Boys,” with a fist and blue heart emoji. Snooki didn’t seem to be too fazed by the user’s stance. “Dramatic,” she replied giving off total “Obsessed” vibes à la Mariah Carey.
In the replies, fans praised the star for her sassy comeback. “We didn’t need an announcement. Be a lady and leave quietly, mawma!” one wrote with a heartbeat emoji. “Girl BYE. LOL who asked??? If you know how she is why comment or follow in the first place?” another added with a shrug. A third chimed in writing, “This isn’t an airport. No need to announce your departure.”
Aside from a few haters, Snooki’s comments were filled with fans gushing over her sons. “The cutest,” one wrote, while another said, “adorable.” In the sweet photo, Snooks can be seen kissing 9-month-old, Angelo, on the head while Lorenzo, 7, hugs the two from behind.
This isn’t the first time the former MTV star went to the comments to put a troll in their place. In early February, the brunette beauty was shamed for her 5-year-old daughter’s midriff-baring outfit. “[Beautiful baby girl] really wearing a crop top?” the troll wrote, along with a pleading eyes emoji in early February. “It’s her cheerleading uniform,” the proud mom corrected. “She just got back from cheer practice.”
While we love watching the fierce mother do her thing, she announced her retirement from the Jersey Shore back in December 2019. “Literally, leaving my kids to film it is really hard on me. I try and quit every single day. I just hate being away from the kids,” Snooki explained on her podcast “It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey.” “I don’t like partying for three days in a row. It’s just not my life anymore. I want to be home with the kids. It’s just really hard for me to leave the kids and film the show.” Clearly, this “mawma’s” main priority is her family.
