So no one told you life was gonna be this way. Jennifer Aniston looked back on her time on the set of hit TV show Friends in a rare interview on Tuesday, August 7 with InStyle Magazine. The star, 50, said that she ‘misses’ the good old days.

“When I think back on the ’90s, it makes me nostalgic — period,” the actress told the mag. “I miss a lot about that time. Having a job that was absolute, pure joy. I miss getting to be with people I love massively and respect beyond words. So, yes, these days I’m super nostalgic. Anything can make me go, ‘Aww.’ Even Fred Segal, I guess. I don’t know why that one got me. [laughs]” Not Bloomingdales or Barney’s, Rach?

The Murder Mystery star also talked about how the show helped her believe in herself and form lasting friendships with her castmates. “I started to find my confidence when I was on Friends, for sure. In a way, being on that show was the ultimate trust exercise. There was comfort in numbers there, so we all held each other up.”

Jennifer is still super close with her costars, and fans get such a thrill when they are spotted together. Most recently, on June 15, Courteney Cox posted a selfie with her pals Jen and Lisa Kudrow for her birthday. The 55-year-old captioned the photo, “How lucky am I to celebrate my birthday with these two??? I love you girls. So much ♥️”

The Just Go With It star added, “When Friends began [in 1994], we were all so wide-eyed and bushy-tailed. We couldn’t believe what was happening, and we had no idea what was coming.” Jen recalled another Instagram post from Courteney of the cast on a private plane before they were stars, and said the image represented how much she has grown, yet looks back with pride at her younger days. “I just remember not understanding that this was my life. The level of gratitude, my god.”
