The 28-year-old, who was given the unfortunate nickname "Cinderella," may finally be off the market. Sadly, people missed one major detail. Recently, fans have been speculating why the eldest Duggar daughter — who seems to have desirable traits: She's good-looking and loves to garden! — can't seem to land a man… or woman. "What if she doesn't actually want to be a mother at this point?" one redditor wrote last month. "She's been raising her younger siblings [for] so long, the thought of having her own and starting over could be exhausting."
Another commented, "I feel like she's watched all her other siblings choose the wrong partners and she wants to avoid doing that. I also feel like she's single because she feels like she'd be obligated to have kids right away, and she probably doesn't want kids considering how much she's had to take care of the younger siblings." TBH, that makes a lot of sense!
Plus, it wasn't that long ago that the reality star opened up about the future — and threw some shade at her younger sibs. "I don't really know what the next five years look like," she told producers in 2016. "I guess I still have hopes and dreams of well, maybe I'll meet the one and get married and have kids and stuff. There have been different guys come along and ask but yeah it's just not… they haven't been the right one."
She added, "It's just one of those things, I'm like… I'm not just out to get married to the first one that comes along. I mean sometimes it can be tempting, like 'Oh I really want to get married.' In those moments where its like, your siblings that are married and have little ones, they're like going out on dates together. It's like this weird in-between stage. I'm not a younger one, but I'm not an older married one with kids. It's just staying busy with where God has me right now and being content in this place and learning as much as I can."
