This is somehow so sweet and so sad at the same time. Dog the Bounty Hunter alum Duane “Dog” Chapman shared a never before seen photo of his late wife, Beth Chapman, on Instagram on Sunday, July 21, just weeks after her death at age 51. It was a very relaxed, candid shot of Beth, with the simple caption, “My Baby.”

Beth passed away on June 26, after a long battle with cancer. Dog, 66, confirmed the heartbreaking news to fans on Twitter. “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii,” he wrote at the time. “This is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”

My Baby

A post shared by Duane Lee Chapman (@duanedogchapman) on

Since her death, Beth’s family has held two different memorial services for her and shared countless memories from her life with fans and followers on social media. At her Colorado memorial at the Heritage Christian Center in Aurora, her husband honored her with a speech and said, “I cannot believe that she’s gone … This is not possible, I want to wake up from a dream.” He added, “She will never be dead to me. She is in another place … I’m gonna get to heaven and make her so proud. She’s gonna say, like she said here, ‘That’s my man right there, that’s big daddy right there.’”

Fans clearly understood that Dog is still hurting in the wake of Beth’s death, and shared kind words in the comments of his June 21 post. “She was beautiful then, and always will be ❤️,” one person wrote. Another fan added, “Can’t believe she’s gone 😭😭 I feel so bad for you Dog xx.” Plus, Beth’s daughter-in-law Jamie Chapman commented, “I miss her so much ❤️,” and daughter Bonnie Jo Chapman wrote, “Miss her too dad.” We can’t even imagine what their whole family is going through right now, and truly wish them healing as they adjust to a life without Beth.
