What’s the Deal? Rumors Swirl That Jeniffer and Tim Met in Mexico Before Filming ’90 Day Fiancé’
We’re breaking it down. Rumors are swirling that Jeniffer Tarazona and Tim Malcolm met in Mexico “well before” they started filming 90 Day Fiancé. It’s claimed the couple was “rejected” from the hit TLC reality show at first, so when they were finally given the green light by the network, Jeniffer and Tim had already seen each other in person.
According to the “Frauded by TLC” podcast, Tim was initially told that TLC decided to pass on covering their love story. After being turned down, Tim and his Colombian girlfriend, Jeniffer, supposedly traveled to Mexico to meet each other anyways.
Why is this a big deal? Well, some fans find it upsetting because Tim said that he never met Jeniffer face to face before taping the show during this season. It was claimed they met in Colombia.
In a new post by the podcast’s Instagram page, they spilled all of the tea about what allegedly really went down. The first indicator the rumors could be true is that Tim checked into Mexico using his Facebook account on October 13, 2018. The very next day, Jeniffer was posting her own photos from a fun-filled vacation in Mexico. Coincidence or not?
“What we see on the show of them meeting in Colombia is actually not the first time they have met,” one of the hosts further explained on the podcast. “They have actually met prior to this on a trip to Mexico. What happened was Tim and Jeniffer had been talking online … but TLC wasn’t really interested at the time (around September 2018).”
Once they got to Mexico, it’s claimed that sparks weren’t flying. “She wanted to party and he did not,” the host said, claiming the couple didn’t really hit it off at first.
When the network later reached out and expressed interest in covering their story, they decided “to go on the show and pretend like they hadn’t met.” The podcast host continued, “Everything we see from them is scripted.”
Tim and Jeniffer have yet to address the speculation, but he did recently take to Instagram with a heartfelt message about their connection. “Thank you to everyone that has supported @jeniffer_tarazona and myself throughout all of the ups and downs on TV. Jeniffer is an amazing person, an amazing mother and truly a one of a kind soul,” he wrote on October 20.
“We have had such a good time entertaining you all for the last 12 weeks,” Tim continued. “Sometimes in life you have to take a few steps back to take one step forward … but that step forward will always lead you in the right direction!”
We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Tim and Jeniffer.
