Surprise, surprise — Derick Dillard has found himself in hot water… again! The former Counting On star took to Instagram recently to share a sweet snap with his family before running a marathon, but fans slammed the star for using the word, “Wifey.” He wrote in the caption, “My wifey @jillmdillard makes the best pre-marathon race meals! Thanks babe! ? #carbs#familytime #matchingshirts#hogeyemarathon#firstmarathoninnorthamerica.” Watch the video above to find out what people are saying!

According to Urban Dictionary, however, the term is actually positive. “A REAL Lady, Not your only but your favourite, different from them hood rat chicks,” the site states. “Sexy in everyway possible, when she smiles it’s sexy, even when she’s mad at you it’s sexy.” So maybe that’s what he’s basing his definition on??

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the couple has received backlash. In fact, it’s just one of many instances. Last month, the duo got called out for their “progressive” date night. An administrator for the anti-Duggar Facebook page, Life Is Not All Pickles and Hairspray, wrote, “Jill did another live Instagram post a couple of hours ago. Derick is totally weird in it. He talks about them being on a ‘progressive’ date with the kids restrained in the back. He says the restraints are the progressive babysitters or something like that. What’s his deal with the word progressive? He seems to be mocking it in his own special way.” Some even went on to accuse Derick of drug use, however, no one was able to back up their claims with concrete evidence.

The former reality stars were also slammed recently for taking their 9-month-old son, Samuel, on a mission trip to Guadalajara — one of the most dangerous Mexican cities. According to Hollywood Gossip, the city was the scene of 23 murders over the course of 48 hours last month.

Oh, and let’s not forget that time the parenting police came out in full force when Jill and Derick left Samuel on the floor not once — but twice. “Jill enjoys procreating, but once the baby is born, she’s not interested in the least in the actual parenting,” one person wrote at the time. Another parenting pro added, “How about a carrier or swing — something besides the dirty floor? I would have never done that to either of my children.” Sigh, everyone’s a critic!
