Safety first, Derick Dillard! The parenting police came out in full force on Thursday, June 22 to slam the former Counting On star for allegedly not securing his son Samuel's life jacket properly. Although he shared several snaps of what seemed to be an innocent day on the lake, many claimed there are videos that show that specific device flipping children over onto their faces. Watch the clip above to see the pics — and to find out what people are saying.

The 29-year-old got the boot from TLC back in November after he shared his unwarranted opinions on I Am Jazz star Jazz Jennings. "What an oxymoron… a 'reality' show which follows a non-reality," he tweeted at the time. "'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God."

Since then, he took aim at Nate & Jeremiah by Design stars Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. "What a travesty of family," he wrote on a promo for the home improvement show. "It's sad how blatant the liberal agenda is, such that it both highlights and celebrates a lifestyle so degrading to children on public television as if it should be normal."

Despite his hateful comments, there's at least one person sticking by his side: Jill Duggar. Just yesterday, the mother-of-two took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute to her hubby on their four-year anniversary. "This man is my favorite!!" she wrote in the caption. @derickdillard, I'm blessed beyond measure to have you as my hubby. I hope God gives us many more years here together! I wanna #growoldtogether#besthubbyever #bestpapaever #manofmydreams #imspoiled #sograteful.

They also had a PDA-filled date — without the kiddos! — for their big day. "Just dropped off the boys for their first overnight together away from us!… Let the anniversary date begin!"
