Fans Are Legit Shocked That Derick Dillard Participated In Spirit Week At Law School
Check out that letterman jacket! Derick Dillard took part in his law school’s spirit week and he shared the photo to prove it. The former Counting On star took to Instagram with a throwback snap on Nov. 6, showing him dressed up as *gasp* a character from Riverdale!
“Throwback to spirit week at school last month! #highschoolstereotypes #decadesday #spiritweek #ididntpickthethemes,” Derick captioned the photos of him and his classmates. The 29-year-old totally shocked several of his followers because he was sporting a similar jacket to Riverdale’s main character Archie Andrews. Many noted how the CW show is pretty risqué, well at least when it comes to the Duggars. “Riverdale? How do you convince [Jill Duggar] and your in-laws that it’s a fundie approved show?” one fan asked. This prompted Derick to reveal his reason for dressing up, since he also rocked a leather vest like a ’50s greaser in the second snap.
“We get points for participating (students 1 point, professors 3 points), I’m competitive, our section won, we got donuts in class last week as our prize. So I’d say it was worth it : ),” Derick responded to the comment. The former TLC star has been posting regular updates as he attends The School of Law at the University of Arkansas. Fans were totally flabbergasted when Derick took to Instagram to reveal he brought a very special guest to his law school class for a date night on Sept. 12 — none other than his wife, Jill. The couple was all smiles while enjoying some “alone time.”
Jill previously established some date night rules with her hubby and it looks like they’ve tried to stick to them. “You know you’re in law school when your wife uses elements to communicate: Date Time = 1.) change of scenery 2.) not having to cook 3.) quality hubby time with no kids. If one of the elements is missing, I feel like it’s a little harder to feel like it’s an actual date,” he tweeted. At least Derick is making the most out of his time in law school!
