We’re Seeing Double! Baby Derick Dillard And His Son Israel Legit Look Like Twins
Holy doppelgänger! Jill Duggar took to Instagram on Christmas to share a sweet video of the “best hubby ever” (aka Derick Dillard) as a kid, and he looks just like their son, Israel. The former Counting On star shared the cute clip with fans, who agreed the two could pass as twins.
“Watching my adorable hubby @derickdillard on videos from 1993 on a local news station telling Santa what he wants, 😂❤️” the mother-of-two captioned the post, before giving a shout out to Derick’s brother. “Thanks @cldilla for the old videos 🎄”
One person quickly wrote, “Oh my goodness he’s Izzy’s twin!” while another agreed, writing, “Oh my gosh! That’s Israel!!” A third and fourth chimed in, “Wow Israel is a copy of Derick!” and “I thought it was Israel until I read your comment! How sweet he looks so much like his daddy!”
Surprisingly, there weren’t many rude comments on the video. ICYMI, Derick was fired from TLC after he gave his unwarranted opinion on Jazz Jennings. “What an oxymoron… a ‘reality’ show which follows a non-reality,” he wrote on Twitter last August. “‘Transgender’ is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it’s ordained by God.”
He later claimed that he harbored no ill will toward Jazz — even though he referred to her using the wrong pronoun. “I want to be clear. I have nothing against him. I only have issue with the words and definitions being propagated here,” he tweeted.
Since then, he’s gone on to take aim at Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, calling their family a “travesty.” He even slammed the cast of Lost in Transition. But for now, we’ll just reminisce about a time before Derick turned into a big ol’ bully!
