Danielle Busby Finally Reveals How to Pronounce Beaux’s Name After Fan Asks: ‘Is It Like Boo or Bow?’
Er, neither! OutDaughtered star Danielle Busby took to Instagram on Sunday, April 14, to clear up any confusion about Beaux’s name. The tiny pup has only been in the fam for a little over a week, but that was long enough for people to question his unique moniker.
“Beaux meets his cousin Meaux … was the cutest thing ever,” the 35-year-old captioned a shot of her oldest daughter, Blayke, with the two pooches. She added the hashtags, “#beauxandmeaux,” “#frenchie,” “#labradoodle” and “#bestpupfriends.” Aww.
In response, one fan commented, “This is so cute!!! How do you pronounce Beaux?” Others chimed in with, “@dbusby is that pronounced like boo or bow lol,” and “So is Meaux pronounced Mo?” Luckily, D set the record straight, simply writing, “Bo” on the original comment. Noted!
Meaux, who actually spells his name Moe, belongs to Danielle’s sister Ashley Mowbray. Back in September, Ashley gushed about her not-so-little pup. “This dude really is the sweetest, but I don’t think he realizes how big he is @nmowbray can I sit in my chair too?!?! #moe #goldendoodle #bigoleboy #sundaysnuggles #chillin #lazy #helovesme.”
Adam Busby — who shares Blayke, 8, and a set of all-girl quints, 4, with Danielle — announced their latest addition on Instagram. “We had such a great Hawaiian Luau party to celebrate our six little princesses’ birthday yesterday,” the 36-year-old revealed on Sunday, April 7. “It was also the grand entrance to the girls’ new SURPRISE brother (@beauxbuzz). Our newest addition. He is a blue/ tan miniature French bulldog and his name is Beaux!”
That said, not everyone was thrilled with his wording. “As a French bulldog enthusiast, know that there is no such thing as a miniature French bulldog. Perhaps he can just be on the smaller end, but a mini Frenchie is not a term that is used or accepted by any ethical breeders,” someone wrote on the post. “With that said, congrats! Your life will become much more fun! Mine keeps me laughing all day long! And they love children so much!” Another echoed, “Omg I love you guys and congrats he’s super cute but there is no such thing as a miniature French bulldog.”
