Fans Predicted the Sex of Josiah and Lauren Duggar’s Baby Prior to the Gender Reveal — and Even Suggested Names!
Good guesses! Before Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson revealed the sex of their baby, some Counting On fans predicted it correctly — and some of them even had name suggestions picked out for the reality TV stars. Lauren, 20, captioned a photo of the couple on June 16, “Happy 1st Father’s Day honey! I’m so proud our children have you as their daddy! ❤️ #happyfathersday #angelbaby #rainbowbaby,” and the fan comments came in quickly. “It looks like you will have a girl because of how you are showing,” one person wrote.
Spoiler alert — that fan was correct. On June 25, Josiah, 22, and Lauren revealed to Us Weekly that they are expecting a baby girl. “We are so grateful that God has blessed us with a sweet baby girl!” the couple told the outlet. “If she only knew how loved she is already and how many people are already praying for her! She truly is a gift … a miracle from God.”
But before the Duggar duo announced the sex of the baby, several fans guessed that they were going to welcome a daughter in the fall. “Josiah you and Lauren are my favorite couple and I think it will be sweet to see you and Lauren have a girl first for your second child being born in November,” one fan commented. “I think y’all could name her Meghan or Olivia.”
After the couple revealed the news, another follower replied to the Father’s Day post with more name suggestions. “I know my opinion shouldn’t matter but I think a beautiful name for your baby would be Rain which is short for rainbow which symbolizes a baby that is born after a miscarriage,” they wrote. “Regardless I’m sure your baby will be beautiful, godly and kind like her mother. I’m praying for a healthy, full-term pregnancy and for a healthy baby.” We’re sure Lauren and ‘Siah appreciate the well-wishes!
