Poor Layne! Chelsea Houska Reveals Her Daughter Has Been Suffering From Baby Acne: ‘It Just Started Clearing Up’
Acne is the worst! And it’s not just something teenagers have to deal with. Chelsea Houska from Teen Mom 2 revealed her daughter Layne has been suffering from baby acne, but thankfully, it sounds like the issue might finally be resolving itself.
Chelsea posted a cute photo of Layne to Instagram on Nov. 8, and captioned it simply: “My littlest love” with an emoji heart. In the comments, an Instagram user named erikawhitney89 wrote, “her skin is beautiful! My 6 week old is covered in baby acne,” to which Chelsea responded, “so was she!!!!! It just started clearing up!” Which just goes to show you that looks can be deceiving.
Chelsea also revealed in the same Instagram post that baby Layne has cradle cap at the moment, and that she’s been using Mustela cradle cap foam shampoo and cream to help with that issue. “Along with a little cradle cap brush and it seems to be helping :)” she added. She also noted that when Layne’s face gets dry, she puts a little Aquaphor on it. Reality TV star moms: they’re just like us.
Cradle cap can lead to “crusty or oily scaly patches on a baby’s scalp,” according to the Mayo Clinic. And between that and the baby acne, it sounds like Layne has been having a bit of a rough time when it comes to skin issues recently. We can relate — skin problems are the worst.
But baby Layne doesn’t seem to be letting her skin issues bring her down. Many of the other photos or videos Chelsea has shared of her baby girl lately show a happy, smiley little thing, which is exactly what most moms of babies are thrilled to have on their hands.
Of course, she’s only about two months old, so there’s plenty of time for the little girl to go through a grumpy baby period. Let’s hope for Chelsea that she gets to avoid that, along with any other uncomfortable skin problems for little Layne.
