Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer’s Daughter Layne Says ‘Dada’ for the First Time and It’s Presh
She’s growing so fast! It feels like we just met Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer‘s daughter Layne, but she’s already hitting some major milestones. She’s not just laughing anymore. Now, she’s even starting to say words. Okay, well, they’re more like sounds than words exactly. But when you put those sounds together, they sound an awful lot like, “Dada” — and we bet Cole is already freaking out. Of course, his wife had to give credit where credit was due. “I guess I’ll count it 😩,” she joked on Instagram. “You win this time, @coledeboer. #dada”
On her account, she shared the clip itself which showed Layne doing her best to repeat after her mama as the mom-of-three carefully repeated, “Dada! Dada!” to her little girl. It didn’t take too many tries until she got the hang of it on her own, babbling, “Dada,” to her family’s delight. Fans also couldn’t help but notice in the comments that she and her dada basically share a face. Are these two not twins? “Baby version of Cole,” one follower joked as another added, “Wow, Cole’s genes are STRONG.”
Of course, not everyone was getting caught up talking about how cute Layne is (although she is painfully adorable). Others couldn’t help but feel sympathy for Chelsea as her baby babbled away. “My son just did this to em a week go,” wrote one commenter, adding the hashtag #thebetrayal. Another chimed in, “Our babies are a few days apart, so now I’ll be pushing, ‘Mama,’ even harder.” Others merely speculated about when baby No. 4 would be on its way.
“You guys should just be like the 19 Kids and Counting [family] and keep going with having babies,” a fan told the family back in February. “It might seem extreme, but you guys make the CUTEST babies.” We can’t help but agree — and this video is the proof!
