Baby on board! Over the weekend, Cardi B performed at the Broccoli City Festival in Washington, DC — her last show before she gives birth — and things didn't exactly go according to plan. The 25-year-old rapper had a major safety scare backstage when the front wheels of her golf cart suddenly lifted off the ground. Watch the video above to see Cardi almost fall out of the vehicle.
Yikes. Thankfully, Cardi's security team swiftly stepped in and lowered the front of the cart back to the ground. According to TMZ, the golf cart tipped because someone had jumped onto to back of it. And although Cardi has made no mention of the mishap on social media, she looked pretty freaked out in the video. Needless to say, she still put on a pretty flawless performance.
"This is my last performance, I'm about to turn up," Cardi told the audience. But, she didn't forget to let everyone know how exhausted she really was. "I'm not even gon' lie, y'all, I'm on 10 percent," she said.
The "Bodak Yellow" singer took to Instagram last week and announced that she is done performing until her baby arrives. Why? "Because you know, shorty keep growing and I be looking like I be moving and everything, but in reality, a b-tch can barely breathe," she explained. "I can barely breathe right now. I've ate like six chicken wings, and I can barely breathe now." However, Cardi did promise that she'll be back and ready to go on tour with Bruno Mars in September.
Cardi officially announced her pregnancy during her Saturday Night Live debut where she wore a skin-tight, sheer dress that put her growing baby bump on full display. She recently confirmed that she is set to give birth to her first child — with her fiancé Offset — in July and many fans believe it's a girl!
