Speaking her truth. Cardi B got candid about the time she was sexually assaulted during a photo shoot earlier in her music career. “I will never forget how I went to shoot for this magazine and the photographer, he was just, like, trying to get close to me like, ‘Yeah, you want to get in this magazine?’ Then he pulled his d—k out,” the 26-year-old told host Angie Martinez in a preview clip from We tv’s Untold Stories of Hip Hop, which airs on Thursday, September 26. “I was so f—king mad, and I was just like, ‘This is crazy.’”

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper continued to explain how she handled the situation. “I was like, ‘[You’re] f—king bugging. You know what? I’m out,” she shared. “You know what’s so crazy? I told the magazine owner, and he just looked at me like, ‘So? And?’”

The New York native also touched upon the #MeToo movement, which began in October 2017 after several women came forward and claimed that movie producer Harvey Weinstein had sexually assaulted them. “When I see the #MeToo movement — there’s girls from the hood I know that went through the same type of treatment, like they made you feel like you got to do a certain type of thing for the most bulls—t s—t. It happens, really, every day.”

This isn’t the first time the mom of one — who shares daughter Kulture, 14 months, with husband Offset — has been vocal about her prior experience. “When I was trying to be a [music video] vixen, people were like, ‘You want to be on the cover of this magazine?’” she recalled to Cosmopolitan magazine in 2018. “Then, they pull their d—ks out. I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a ho. It don’t matter.’”

Cardi isn’t the only female to feel this way in the entertainment industry, either. After Harvey, 67, pleaded not guilty to charges of felony rape and criminal sex acts in June 2018, several other A-listers have since come forward with their allegations including Gwyneth Paltrow and Rose McGowan.

Thankfully, Cardi said she doesn’t face any experiences like that today. “Oh, hell no. I’ll put you on blast on my Instagram … I’ll f—king violate,” she said if someone tried to cross her again.

Cardi B’s episode of Untold Stories of Hip Hop airs on WE tv Thursday, September 26, at 10 p.m. EST.
