Caitlyn Jenner Ruined Brody Jenner’s Wedding: “He’s so Disappointed and Hurt” (EXCLUSIVE)
How sad! Brody Jenner’s wedding to Kaitlynn Carter on June 2 wasn’t a family affair. Not only did his little sisters, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, fail to even RSVP, but his own father, Caitlyn Jenner, didn’t show up.
"Caitlyn canceled her trip at the last minute," an insider tells In Touch. "She said she had plans she couldn’t get out of and was too busy." Indeed, Caitlyn turned up at Austria’s Life Ball with her pal Sophia Hutchins, 21, on June 2. "But it’s a poor excuse," says the insider. Unfortunately, Brody, 34, is used to being let down by his dad, but her absence from the ceremony in Indonesia still stung.
"Everyone was upset. Caitlyn was a distant dad [when Brody was growing up], and she hasn’t changed at all," says the insider. "She’s still the selfish father she always was." Now Brody might be permanently estranged from Caitlyn, 68, and from Kendall, 22, and Kylie, 20.
"He calls them all his 'fake-a– family' and thinks they’re just like what he calls 'the Kar-trashians,'" says the insider. "He’s so disappointed and hurt." Part of that hurt may be linked to the fact that Brody has felt rejected by those so-called “Kar-trashians” for quite some time. Specifically, after Kim Kardashian neglected to invite him to her 2015 wedding to Kanye West. Though, Kim insists it wasn’t personal.
"I don’t know why Brody is still talking about this," Kim explained on KUWTK. "We were very strict about our wedding. There were less than 200 people there. Everyone else respected that — it’s not a big deal. We love our stepbrothers. It just seems like they are always talking about this divide."
There’s two sides to every story, right? Let’s just hope Brody can let this one go and enjoy his life as a newlywed.
