It’s a work in progress. After coming out to fans as pansexual in August, Raiven Adams is opening up about how she’s still working on figuring out her sexuality. On Monday, October 7, Bear Brown‘s girlfriend held an Instagram Q&A where she invited her followers to get to know her better. When one of them asked about her how her attraction to people works in her life, she was happy to share that discovering that is a process she’s still going through.

“Have you figured out your sexuality yet?” the fan asked. “I haven’t, and I’m just trying to figure [it] out.” In response, Raiven, 21, wrote, “Honestly, no. One day I think I have, then something shows me I haven’t. Right now, I’m just happy to be happy with Bear, and I’m sure the rest will follow.”

Two months earlier, the upcoming Alaskan Bush People star decided to be upfront with the show’s audience after viewers uncovered her past relationship with a woman. “The moment I’ve been dreading … It’s been brought to my attention, the social media stalkers of my new found life, have found my ex who was a female,” she wrote on Instagram in August. “I have fought for my peace of mind in my sexuality and in my life. I’m proud of myself for loving myself, in every aspect of life. Come for me about my overalls, Come for me about my teeth, my height, whatever you want, but I ask you please let my sexuality be.”

The model asked fans not to judge her for who she loves or has loved in the past. She even referenced actress Bella Thorne, who also identifies as pansexual, to help explain how she feels. “In the words of [Bella], ‘Somebody explained to me really thoroughly what that is. You like beings. You like what you like. Doesn’t have to be a girl or a guy or a he or she or they or this or that. It’s literally you like personality. You just like a being.'” In her own words, she continued, “I’m] loving myself, loving my views, and accepting I’ll never be perfect. I’ll always have flaws, but loving someone isn’t one of them.”
