Thank u, next! That is definitely how Ariana Grande feels about 2018. The singer is ready for a fresh start after her tumultuous year. In a since-deleted post, the 25-year-old took to Instagram to share her feelings and post a sweet tribute about her ex Mac Miller.

She captioned the post, “Farewell 2018, you f—. I hope this new year brings you all much laughter, clarity, and healing. Be gentle with yourselves and each other.”

“If we made it thru this last year, we’ll for sure make it thru this one. Thank you for everything,” the “No Tears Left To Cry” singer wrote.

The brunette beauty also posted a heartfelt tribute for the late rapper on her Instagram Story, but has since deleted it. The video showed the “Self Care” singer playing the piano.

To say it’s been an emotional year for Ari is an understatement, as she had to deal with a very public breakup from SNL star Pete Davidson in addition to coping with Mac’s death.

On Dec. 6, the pop star received Billboard’s Woman of the Year award and she couldn’t help but tear up while she accepted her award.

“I find it interesting that this has been one of the best years of my career and the worst of my life,” she said. “A lot of people would look at someone in my position right now as an artist that could be at her peak and think, ‘She’s really got her s—t together, she’s really on it. She’s got it all.’ And I do, but as far as my personal life goes, I really have no idea what the f—k I’m doing.”

Ari added, “I just want to say if you’re someone out there who has no idea what this next chapter is going to bring, you’re not alone in that.”

One of the many reasons we love Ari is that she has a great outlook on life, even though she has been through so much. “I look forward to hopefully learning to give some of the love and forgiveness that I’ve given away so frivolously and easily to men in the past to myself, hopefully, this year.” Yas, girl! We can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for you.
