She’ll always be with her. Amy Duggar King shared a photo of herself from a recent pregnancy photo shoot she did among some sunflowers and revealed that she thought of her late grandmother, Mary Duggar, a lot during the shoot. She included a shot of herself with her grandma as well and wrote, “I thought about you a lot during this photo shoot … It was pretty easy to do … Since sunflowers were your favorite too.” So heart-wrenching.

Amy, 32, and her grandmother were especially close. When Grandma Mary died suddenly on June 9, the Counting On cousin shared on Instagram, “My best friend passed away yesterday afternoon. Jesus sure took home a treasure. I’m at a loss for words, shaking as I even type this out. I loved her so much. She helped raise me, we did everything together … If we weren’t together we were either texting or calling each other. She was so supportive and was so excited to meet our little guy. I just can’t believe she is really gone.”

She continued, “My heart just hurts and my life will never be the same. Mema you will always be so precious to me and you were such a light who impacted so many lives. You lived joyously, and beautifully. And I will miss you every single day. I know though you are in perfect peace and we will see you again.”

Since then, Amy has posted tributes to her grandmother often on social media. For instance, she confessed in late July that she thinks about Mary “every single day.” She also revealed on August 5 that her grandma knew the name of her unborn child before she ever announced it. She shared a photo of herself sitting on a staircase in Grandma Mary’s house and wrote in part, “Not one day has gone by that I don’t miss her. I wish I could call her, get her opinion on things, go get ice cream and spend the day together. She loved the name Dax Ryan and she was so excited about our little guy.”

Through it all, the Duggar family seems to be supporting each other as they grieve, and the “rebel” cousin seems to be a part of that circle of support. Amy told In Touch at WEtv’s Love After Lockup screening that in spite of their differences, “You know, we support each other. We love each other. They still, they come and shop at my store and they just pop in! So, family, there is a lot of love in our family.” When little Daxton arrives, we’re sure he will feel the love, too.
