She’s still hurting. Amy Duggar offered fans an update on the expansion of her store, 3130 Clothing, and someone in the replies commented on how quickly time passes and everything Amy has been through for the past several months. That led the Duggars‘ cousin to respond with a sad note about how she’s feeling since the family lost Grandma Mary Duggar in June. “New body and our new @3130clothing space under construction⚠️,” Amy, 32, captioned her Instagram post. “30 weeks and bumpin’ right along! The wall to my right is going up, and the wall to my left is coming down!”

A fan then commented, “[Can’t] believe your [sic] 30 weeks already … it flew by 🇮🇪❤️.” Amy answered, “It’s crazy to think that Dax will be here in Oct!!” and that led the same fan to write back, “You will be great parents … he will be a welcome addition to the family especially all stress you have been through the past few months … you deserve all the luck and love God can give.” Amy responded, “It has been one of the hardest seasons, and I think about her every single day! She taught me so much … I’m thankful for this little life and all the fun we are going to have! Thank you!!❣”

So Amy didn’t specifically name Grandma Mary in the comment, but it’s obvious who she was referring to. She and her grandmother were incredibly close, and when Mary passed away in a tragic drowning accident, the small business owner took to Instagram to share a grief-stricken tribute to her. “It breaks my heart to write this,” she began. “My best friend passed away yesterday afternoon. Jesus sure took home a treasure. I’m at a loss for words, shaking as I even type this out. I loved her so much. She helped raise me, we did everything together. We’ve been on countless trips, we had lunch together 3 times a week, and if we weren’t together we were either texting or calling each other.”

Thankfully, Amy has a lot to look forward to in spite of her grief. She and her husband, Dillon King, are welcoming a baby boy in October. She regularly shares updates about her pregnancy, which seems to be going very well. We hope Amy continues to heal and gives herself plenty of opportunities to be excited about the birth of her first child in the midst of her grief.
