Amy Duggar Claps Back After Troll Says Her Sunglasses Look Photoshopped
Looks like Jana Duggar isn’t the only member of the Counting On crew who has a little fun with Photoshop! When Amy Duggar shared another image from one of her many pregnancy photo shoots on Monday, September 23, her followers couldn’t help but notice there was something a little strange in the image. The picture showed the reality star lounging in a tight cheetah-print dress and sunglasses while surrounded by balloons and confetti. When they looked closely, it seemed like the glasses had been digitally edited in.
“I can’t wait to be in the cool mom club!!!💙” Amy, 32, told her followers. “Last week I had the honor of being highlighted for a fun photoshoot series called ‘Be the Difference.’ I loved every minute of it!” In the comments, fans gushed over the photo, but one added, “The Photoshopped sunglasses are a little off, but otherwise super cute! ❤️” That’s when the mom-to-be felt like she had to shut that rumor down.
“They aren’t photoshopped! 😂” she clarified. “Even though it does look like it!” But when pressed, she admitted that, OK, they might have been a little photoshopped — just not photoshopped onto her face. “If they weren’t, they’d have a real reflection,” a different commenter pointed out. “It’s called editing! 💙” Amy fired back.
In August, the brunette beauty’s cousin found herself facing similar accusations of digitally altering her photos after fans suspected that she’d used the image editing software to add knee-length skirts to two girls in the background of her Instagram. “Wow … [You] altered this photo to make the girls behind you have modest clothing on,” one fan commented. “I noticed that too,” added another. “It’s amazing how the standard for girls [are] ridiculously high while ‘boys will just ‘be boys.'”
Unlike Amy, Jana, 29, chose not to respond — but that doesn’t mean she’s never clapped back at fans. When one told her to “do more than be 30 years old, living at home [and] gardening,” she put them in their place. “Oh, believe me, that’s not all I do,” she teased, and if you know about her myriad talents then you know she’s telling the truth. “Gardening is just my little hobby on the side.”
