Leaf Her Alone! Jana Duggar Fires Back After Troll Tells Her to ‘Do More Than Gardening’
Haters, take a seat! Jana Duggar took to Instagram on Tuesday, June 4, to clap back at a troll who told her she should move out and stop gardening. The nerve, right? The Counting On star, who is a proud plant mom, quickly (and politely) set the record straight.
“Jana, do more then [sic] be 30 years old living at home gardening lol what a life,” they wrote on the album. To be fair, she’s the ripe ol’ age of 29! “Oh, believe me, that’s not all I do,” the famous sibling responded, along with a smiley face emoji. “Gardening is just my little hobby on the side,” she said.
Luckily, there were plenty of others who rallied around the eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle. “You do YOU. If you are happy doing whatever it is you love, then it doesn’t matter what others think,” someone wrote. “Mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy!!! #janaismyfavduggar.” Another agreed, writing, “You are so talented, Jana!”
At one time, people actually thought the brunette beauty was so invested in her veggies that she forgot to date. A video of Jana’s sprawling garden was shared to YouTube last year, and although Jessa dubbed it a “work of art,” others were concerned.
“It’s sad to watch a 28-year-old woman raising her mother’s ‘blessings.’ Too bad she can’t use her many talents for her own life,” wrote one. Another chimed in, “Agreed … it’s horrible that Jana is forced to be the mom for all her younger siblings.” A third, however, thought she should use her passion to help her get a man … or woman! “She needs to go on farmersonly.com.” TBH, that’s not a bad idea?
The “Cinderella Duggar,” however, seems perfectly content with being on her own. She witnessed her twin brother John David, get married in November but is in no rush to walk down the aisle. In fact, she reportedly started her own business and recently joined social media.
That said, being on the sidelines still stings every now and then. “I know how it feels to wait for ‘Prince Charming’ to come along. I’m still waiting,” she once said in an interview. “Waiting is not always easy, especially in those times when all the married siblings are getting together and you can’t go along because you’re not part of ‘that’ group.”
Be patient, Jan! He (or she) will make an appearance when you least expect it.
