The best of the best are back for another season of America’s Got Talent: The Champions! In season 2, premiering Monday, January 6, another round of previous competitors are returning to fight for the title of the winner of them all, and, once again, they’re hailing from all parts of the globe. With contestants from shows like Das Supertalent and Romania’s Got Talent alike, this season is sure to showcase a wide variety of acts.

This year, the judge’s panel consists of Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and newcomer Alesha Dixon. Though the singer may be an unfamiliar addition for American audiences, she’s no stranger when it comes to evaluating a talent competition. In the past, she judged eight seasons of Britain’s Got Talent, and she’s even got Champions experience from the U.K.’s version of the all-star series. Terry Crews returns to hosting duties.

Back in November 2019, the show revealed the superstars who will be facing off on stage. All together, there are 40 different acts vying for the title, and they’ve already promised some incredible performances. The America’s Got Talent YouTube Channel has already given fans a glimpse of what’s to come, including an awe-inspiring salsa routine from an unexpected couple. When Nico woke Paddy up from her stage-side nap in order to twirl her across the dance floor, the whole crowd pretty much flipped — and so did Paddy as she and her partner performed all kinds of acrobatic feats.

Another sneak peek revealed that Duo Transcend, a married couple who perform trapeze tricks, will also be returning. The show has already changed their lives once before — husband Tyce revealed that, because of the exposure they got thanks to America’s Got Talent, he was able to get some much-needed medical help. A doctor who watched the series ended up reaching out to them after learning about an eye disease the performer was struggling with, and the professional was able to save his vision. But now that they’ve got a shot at winning the World Champion title (and the money that goes with it), things could change for them once again.

But neither of these jaw-dropping acts are a shoo-in for the grand prize. With this much talent on one stage, it’s hard to know just yet who will earn the honors. In the meantime, check out the gallery below to meet all the champions competing to be No. 1.
