Tom Cruise’s Exes Katie Holmes And Nicole Kidman Reportedly In Talks To Work Together: ‘It Would Cause A Huge Spectacle’
Battle of the exes! Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman have a few things in common — they are both A-list actresses and have both been married to Tom Cruise. The two have never been friendly, but now they are in talks to work together. It would be iconic to see these two powerhouses together!
LA-based insiders told Grazia Daily, “Katie and Nicole have exchanged messages via their agents. But out of respect to Tom it’s been kept private. Obviously, they share common ground, and feel like it’s finally time for them to be able to work on something together. There have been covert communications.”
Katie has stayed away from the spotlight recently, since she has been raising her daughter, Suri, away from the Hollywood scene. She has apparently reached out to Nicole for advice on how to rebuild her career. Nicole’s career has been on fire since her divorce from Tom and she even won an Oscar for Best Actress in 2003 for The Hours.
The two actresses have been quiet about their relationship with the 56-year-old Mission Impossible actor. Leah Remini, a former friend of Tom’s, told LaPalme Magazine in September, “I assume they were forced to sign prohibitive documents. Trust me, Katie’s not allowed to have a meal with me and we used to be close friends. She could lose custody of Suri. It’s quite sick, really.”
However, Nicole recently spoke about her marriage to Tom to The Cut. She said, “Being married to Tom Cruise at 22 is something I’m always reluctant to talk about, because I’m married now to the man who is my great love [Keith Urban], and it almost feels disrespectful.”
“There’s certainly nothing stopping them working together,” the source adds. “Nicole was wary about it at first, but as more time has passed, she has warmed to the idea. Nicole’s agents have stressed that if it does happen it should be an ensemble piece rather than casting them both as leads in a big drama. Either way, it would cause a huge spectacle.”
We’ll be eagerly waiting for this movie to come out!
