90 Day Fiance’s Jihoon Lee Turns Off Comments After Telling Fans to Stop ‘Fighting’ Over His Family Drama
Jihoon Lee from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way turned off his Instagram comments after being bombarded with opinions about his “family” whenever he posted new content.
The season 2 star, 29, apologized in his caption and told his followers to stop feuding over issues going on between him and his loved ones on the TLC spinoff. “I’m sorry, but please don’t fight with each other about my family,” the TV personality captioned his new photo, showing him on the beach at night.
His mother-in-law, Elicia Clegg, previously spoke out about why Jihoon previously wiped his Instagram clean following his money and moving drama with wife Deavan Clegg.
She explained the constant influx of messages from fans can be overwhelming at times. “There’s nothing to worry about,” Elicia said. “As you guys know, reality TV is a very difficult thing to do. It’s a barrage of both love, and of extreme hate.”
“The behind-the-scenes … people will seek out ways of getting a hold of you and letting you know just how much they hate you,” Deavan’s mom revealed about the backlash on July 30, explaining fans have only seen footage from the first 48 hours from their recent trip to South Korea so far on the season. “This amount of pressure right now, it was in Jihoon’s best interest to just step back from the internet.”
Jihoon and Deavan, 23, had been at odds earlier in the season, but appeared to be getting back on track in recent episodes. The reality star dad rented a new apartment for their family of four in an upscale neighborhood, much to the delight of his wife after their disagreements over finances and living situation.
Deavan later told her in-laws and mother to give Jihoon a chance to show he was serious about being a provider, and they all agreed to back off for a bit.
“From now on, I’ll independently take care of my family,” Jihoon said during the conversation. In his confessional, he admitted the new pressure was causing him some “stress,” too.
The tension spiked again when Deavan’s daughter, Drascilla, frightened her family by taking off running toward the street at the end of the August 10 episode.
Viewers didn’t get to see what happened next because the scene ended at that moment. However, it does cause some hostility in the next episode based on the emotional teaser clip, in which Elicia said she felt “rage” at Jihoon over the ordeal.
Maybe the dust will settle soon!
