90 Day Fiance’s Deavan Reacts to ‘Disgusting’ Comments About Daughter Drascilla’s Behavior on the Show
Not here for the haters. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Deavan Clegg made it clear she will not stand for negative comments about her 4-year-old daughter, Drascilla, while responding to a fan who agreed that trolls shouldn’t criticize the behavior of a child.
“Can I tell you how mad I am lately how much they are tearing Drascilla apart? I have read so much from ‘Why [is she] in potty training pants?’ to ‘Why [did she] bury herself in the sand?’ She’s an effin [sic] kid for Christ sake’s [sic]. I love these Karen moms. I think you are a great mom on the show at least,” the supportive fan commented on a recent selfie on Deavan’s Instagram.
The 23-year-old responded, “Yea, it gets under my skin. It’s disgusting how cruel they are.”
90 Day Fiancé fans have also taken issue with the way Deavan parents her daughter from a previous relationship. When Deavan made her debut on season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way with now-husband Jihoon Lee, many felt the little girl was too rambunctious and not disciplined. In one particular scene, Drascilla could be seen sitting on a countertop, placing her hands and feet in a plate of scrambled eggs.
But the most recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2 is what sparked even more backlash. In a scene, Deavan and Jihoon, 29, were getting ready to leave a nearby playground after taking Drascilla out for playtime. Deavan told Jihoon to take Drascilla upstairs to their apartment while she carried their infant son, Taeyang. Jihoon then picked up Drascilla and lifted her over his shoulder. But the 4-year-old did not want to be picked up.
“No, I have to sit down,” Drascilla said, then yelled, “I said down!” Jihoon placed her down on the ground, and Deavan told her husband to grab her but it was too late. Drascilla immediately bolted off running toward the street.
Even though Deavan and her mom, Elicia Clegg, yelled out for Drascilla to stop, the little girl did not listen. That’s when Jihoon realized Drascilla was heading toward the street and he sprinted off to catch up to her. The scene ended on a cliffhanger, and while it’s unclear if Drascilla was hurt or not during the incident, Jihoon could be seen sobbing in a teaser for the upcoming episode.
Some fans felt it was unfair that Deavan and Elicia blamed Jihoon for Drascilla running off. “I’m sorry but how is it Jihoon’s fault that Drascilla was running away and not listening? Can the man get enough? He gets all the blame, seeing him break down like that is terrible,” one fan commented on a recent photo of Deavan on Instagram. She responded, “Just wait and watch the episode.”
