Looks like things aren’t going well in the Jimeno-Everett household. Or is there still a Jimeno-Everrett household? Amid rumors that 90 Day Fiancé stars Pedro Jimeno and Chantel Everett have split, the Dominican Republic native is now shading his mother-in-law on Instagram. Pedro, 27, has always had a rocky relationship with Chantel’s parents, Karen and Thomas, but it seems things are only getting worse. Happily ever after?

Fans have gotten to know the couple through their appearances on the TLC show and it’s spin-off, Happily Ever After? They even recently landed their own spin-off series. The Family Chantel focuses on the Jimenos and the Everetts — but it may all fall apart if they split.

There have been rumors for a while.

For months, the couple have left confusing hints and clues on social media. In September 2018, Chantel shared a quote that suggesting things might not be going well. “Sometimes the hardest part of being a great catch is accepting not everyone’s hands are strong enough to hold you,” read the quote.

Chantel tried to reassure fans.

In October 2018, she posted a photo of her husband suggesting that they were still together. “For everyone wondering where Pedro is,” she said on her Instagram Story.

Fans didn’t buy it.

It didn’t take long to realize that the post Chantel shared was from months earlier. It was a selfie that Pedro had taken over the summer, smiling for his followers on July 25. The couple weren’t even in the photo together — and they hadn’t posted any pics of the two of them in a while.

They seemed to be charging forward.

In December 2018, Pedro added a location tag to one of his photos that claimed he was in Gwinnett County, Georgia, a.k.a. where Chantel and he live. Though it didn’t necessarily mean that they had broken up, it suggested that they were still together.

But there’s always drama in the family Chantel.

In a January 2019 promo for season 4 of Happily Ever After, Pedro is seen intimately dancing with a woman who is clearly not his wife. As she wrapped her legs around him, he dipped her low in an act that had Chantel steaming.

She said it was the “final straw.”

Though she’d similarly had an incident where she was dancing inappropriately with someone not her partner, it had happened years earlier when they were only just engaged. They’d since moved past it — only for Pedro to recreate the drama.

She said Pedro “lost [her] trust.”

Things only seemed to get more serious when the promo cut to Chantel’s family as her mom, Karen, displayed a taser. “I will introduce [Pedro] to ‘Shocky.’ This is a way to show the person the door,” she said in the clip.

Things have just gotten worse.

On May 4, Chantel addressed breakup rumors again — though what she had to say wasn’t exactly reassuring to fans who root for the couple to stay together.

She said Pedro and her friends don’t get along.

That’s never a good indicator, especially considering the fact that Chantel’s family doesn’t like Pedro either. And on top of that, Pedro’s family doesn’t exactly love Chantel. But did it hint at a split?

Chantel may have answered that question.

On the 4th, a fan commented on one of Pedro’s photos, writing, “I’m thinking [Chantel] and [Pedro] are finished. He has been thirst trapping a bit much on Instagram. I see you, Papi.”

Chantel was not impressed.

Though she didn’t like the comment, she did share it on her Instagram Story, adding her own caption: “Seriously.” But did she mean “seriously” as in, “Can you seriously believe he’s doing this?” or as in, “Can you seriously believe this fan theory?”

Either way, it seemed like shade.

And now Pedro is ready to throw some shade of his own. On May 6, he posted and Instagram story targeting Chantel’s mom, Karen. Though he didn’t attack her by name, he did get personal.

He posted a meme.

“The kiss of the mother-in-law,” he wrote with a photo of a snake attacking and biting a man’s face. “Graphic description.” Below the meme, he added an emoji that was crying-laughing at the image.

We don’t blame him.

Considering the fact that Karen seemed to threaten to shock him with a taser, it’s comparably tame. But if the couple really is on the outs, we can’t imagine that this is particularly good for their relationship.
