It’s almost time! 90 Day Fiancé star Nicole Nafziger’s daughter, May, will be attending school in the United States after all, a source tells In Touch exclusively. As fans may recall, the TLC alum faced no shortage of backlash when she considered enrolling her 5-year-old in a Moroccan school just a few months ago, but it looks like she had a change of plans. Nicole has already enrolled her daughter into classes and May even showed off her adorable new uniforms on Instagram earlier this week. Facing Backlash

Nicole, 25, opened up about her plans for May’s schooling on the last season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and she was subject to serious scrutiny.

School Plans

The reality star explained to her mom and stepdad that she wanted to move to Morocco — where her fiancé is. Nicole was hoping to arrive in the country soon, so that she could enroll her daughter in kindergarten in time.

Long-Distance Love

Nicole was initially planning on moving to Morocco to tie the knot with Azan Tefou (a.k.a. Hassan M’Raouni), then file paperwork so she could remain in Morocco as the spouse of a Moroccan citizen.

Thinking About the Future

After that, Nicole would live with Azan and May in Morocco and they would apply for his spousal visa and wait in Morocco until the visa is approved so that they could all travel back to the United States together.

Sharing Their Thoughts

However, Nicole’s parents were not exactly keen on her plan of having May attend school in a foreign country.

Keeping It Real

“There is an urgency for them to get married in Morocco so that they can give May a little more stability and the consistency a child May’s age needs instead of this back and forth, back and forth,” Nicole’s mom, Robbalee, said in the confessional.

Expressing Some Concerns

“May has to be enrolled in kindergarten in a few months. They have to get this all ironed out right away,” she added.

Importance of Education

Robbalee was also worried about how Nicole would be able to afford sending May to a private school there. “You have to go to kindergarten. She is way too smart to let her slip through the cracks,” Robbalee added.

Firing Back

Several fans criticized Nicole’s schooling plans after the episode aired and she later took to Instagram with a statement clapping back at nay-sayers.

Releasing a Statement

“Y’all call me young and immature but y’all are the ones who are so damn [absentminded] about living in other parts of the world with your children. Y’all can’t even see that America isn’t the #1 best country for schools,” Nicole wrote.

“I’m not saying Morocco is #1 either but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad school. She’s 5!!! She learns to play well with others, English, and ART! Do you need to be in America to learn that?? NO,” the reality star continued.

It’s Almost Time

Now, there’s been a surprising new development. “Nicole enrolled May at a school in Florida, which she’s starting soon,” an insider tells In Touch exclusively.

“May’s been having fun shopping for school supplies and her new uniforms,” the source added.

Nicole recently took to her Instagram Stories on Friday, August 2, to share adorable photos of her daughter, May, modeling her new school uniforms.

May was all smiles in one snap, wearing khaki pants and a navy collared shirt. In the other, Nicole’s daughter wore a navy colored dress. School is almost in session!
