It’s only been a few days since the bombshell dropped that former 90 Day Fiancé star Luis Mendez had remarried. The reality personality tied the knot in September. And when his ex-wife Molly Hopkins found out, it wasn’t pretty. Though she insisted she was “so good,” she also reacted by saying she “totally got used.” And now she’s explaining exactly what she meant by that. The 43-year-old opened up in an interview with Us Weekly – and she got real.
“I feel [his new marriage] clearly shows he was possibly using me and my finances to get here because our divorce was final in May,” Molly told Us. “So he either already knew her and had a plan all along and I’m a fool, or we are both fools if she doesn’t know him, because I met Jekyll in the Dominican [Republic] and got Hyde here, or vice versa. Either way, may it work out because I’m glad he’s gone.”
Ouch. Girl wasn’t pulling any punches, that’s for sure. And their messy ending after Season 5 of the TLC show is making us pretty anxious about the fate of the Season 6 couples. The new episodes just started airing a week or so ago, and the drama looks real. Spoilers have already revealed that some of the couples did end up tying the knot, but Molly and Luis just go to show that making it down the aisle doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll make it long-term.
Regardless, Molly insists she’s better off now — and Luis seems pretty happy with his situation, too. “I love this girl so much. She is so amazing,” the 27-year-old told In Touch exclusively. “The most amazing part was meeting her because she changed all life to happiness.”
As for his ex, well, they don’t speak. Luis did clarify, though, that if she wanted to send her congratulations along, he’d be more than happy to receive them. We just hope he’s not holding his breath, because we doubt Molly feels much, if any, good will towards her one-time husband.
