90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem’s daughter Scottie Deem was released early from prison on May 6 after serving 15 months behind bars for child molestation convictions, In Touch can confirm.

Scottie was charged with child molestation and rape back in September 2018, after being accused of having sexual intercourse with a juvenile two to three times at her home. She was originally charged with statutory rape, one count of aggravated child molestation and 11 counts of child molestation. According to offender records previously obtained by In Touch from the Georgia Department of Corrections, her offenses took place on July 1, 2017.

After agreeing to a plea deal, she pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation. Scottie was sentenced to 20 years for each count, but was allowed to serve the terms “concurrently,” Starcasm reports. The TV personality’s daughter began her time in Pulaski State Prison on February 1, 2019.

It was later revealed Scottie would only be serving two years and one day of her 20-year sentence and would spend the remainder of her time on probation. She was ultimately released on parole ahead of schedule in May.

Angela’s daughter has since been added to the sex offender registry in Georgia. Fans noticed she has returned to social media amid her release, as Scottie posted a video of her loved ones supporting the Black Lives Matter movement on June 3.

Scottie was never cast on 90 Day Fiancé, but she did make appearances with her mother, Angela, while the star documented her long-distance romance. Fans may recall seeing Angela’s daughter as a supporting cast member on a few episodes.

Shortly after Scottie went to prison, Angela took to Facebook with a cryptic message. “Sometimes people try to destroy you, precisely because they recognize your power — not because they don’t see it, but because they see it and don’t want it to exist,” she wrote in March 2019.

In February, the Maury alum also posted an inspiring quote on her page about staying faithful, even when times are tough, reading, “No matter what you face in life, don’t let go of God’s hands.”
