Not meant to be. Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks have called it quits after three years of dating, In Touch exclusively confirmed.
The exes began their relationship following Liam’s brief fling with Maddison Brown. Shortly after, the Hunger Games actor took a new girl home to meet his mom and dad in December 2019. The Aussie, 32, sparked relationship rumors when he was spotted introducing model Gabriella to his parents, Craig and Leonie, in his hometown of Byron Bay.
In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the actor was seen grabbing a bite to eat with his parents and the 26-year-old. His parents greeted the beauty with open arms. Although it was unclear if Gabriella met Liam’s parents prior to their lunch, their embrace looked pretty warm for a first-time meet-up.
While Liam and Gabriella initially seemed to be going strong, In Touch exclusively learned in August 2022 that the pair have called it quits. A source revealed that Liam ended things a “couple of months ago” and Gabriella is “heartbroken.”
“He didn’t want to be tied down and work has picked up since the pandemic ended,” the insider explained.

The model is a fellow Aussie who previously attended Sydney University. The beauty was studying ancient history and archaeology before she set her sights on a career in fashion full-time. Although it is unclear how the two met exactly, we do know they have a lot in common other than their Australian heritage. Similarly to Liam, the model was previously in a long-term relationship with 1975 frontman Matthew Healy after four years of dating. Following several years of sweet Instagram sentiments, the two are rumored to have split in August 2019. Coincidentally, Liam and Miley Cyrus went their separate ways after eight months of marriage in August as well.

Even though Gabriella and Liam were never Instagram official, his parents totally approved of the couple. “Craig and Leonie adore Gabriella and think she’s a much better fit for their son then Miley, who they never warmed to,” an insider told In Touch exclusively. “They didn’t approve of Miley’s attention-seeking ways or the way she treated their son. Not only is Gabriella drop-dead gorgeous and a successful model, she’s fun, intelligent and sweet-natured — you can tell she isn’t after Liam for his fame and fortune and adores him for all the right reasons.”
By January 2020, Liam and Gabriella made it clear that they were serious about each other and they even celebrated his birthday with family in Byron Bay, Australia.
