Did Selena Gomez just admit that her ex Justin Bieber started dating Hailey Baldwin “two months” after they called it quits? Sure seems like it! On Wednesday, October 23, the pop star debuted her new song “Lose You to Love Me,” and it seems like she is most definitely talking about someone specific. Cough, Justin, cough. The 27-year-old sings, “I gave my all, and they know it / You turned me down, and now it’s showing / In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy / Made me think I deserved it / In the thick of healing, yeah.”

Selena and the 25-year-old Canada native had quite the relationship — which began in 2009 when the former flames first sparked romance rumors. In January 2011, the Hollywood A-listers were spotted kissing in St. Lucia and made their first red carpet appearance at the Vanity Fair’s Oscar party a month later. Selena and Justin split in November 2012, but then got back together in April 2013.

In December 2014, Hailey, 22, came into the picture, and the “One Less Lonely Girl” crooner posted a photo of them kissing on Instagram. The brunette beauty and the Grammy winner spent some time apart but started spending more time together in November 2017. Ultimately, they split for good in March 2018, and Justin and Hailey reconnected in June when they ran into one another at a conference in Miami, which was hosted by Rich Wilkerson Jr., the pastor of Vous Church. “The common denominator, I promise you, is always church. By then we were past the drama,” Hailey told Vogue in February 2019. “I just gave him a hug. By the end of the conference, he was like, ‘We’re not going to be friends.’ I was like, ‘We’re not?’” One month later, Justin was engaged to the blonde bombshell. The two legally got married at a New York courthouse in September 2018 and one year later, they had celebrated with all of their friends in South Carolina.

Of course, it didn’t take long for fans to notice the signs that Selena was talking about her famous ex. One person wrote, “The fact that Selena saw all the red flags in Justin but decided to stay and keep trying just because she loved him, and he replaced her and got engaged within two months. Wow, that hurt me. #LoseYouToLoveMe,” while a second person wrote, “SELENA GOMEZ CALLING OUT JUSTIN BIEBER. YAS QUEEN. No one can change my mind. #SelenaGomez.” A third person chimed in, writing, “Listened to Selena Gomez’s new song, and I’m a fan! It’s sad hearing her say ‘in two months you replaced us.’ I can literally feel her pain and how hurt she was that Justin Bieber got together with Hailey so fast. #LoseYouToLoveMe.”

While Selena hasn’t directly revealed who the bop is about, she got candid about the writing process. “This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album,” she said in a statement. “I thought it was important to share the music, as I know many can relate to the fact that the road to self-discovery generally comes through the scars in one’s life. I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself.”
