Uh oh, Tyler Baltierra isn’t happy with Teen Mom OG‘s newest addition! The reality star opened about Bristol Palin on last week’s episode of “Reality Life With Kate Casey,” and needless to say, he sounded less than thrilled about the news.

“Do I think it’s weird as hell? Absolutely,” he said on the Sept. 28 podcast. “Do I think it’s a really, like, not a good decision for the franchise? Yeah. But that’s out of my control.” Ouch.

In a wild twist that literally no one saw coming, Farrah Abraham was replaced on the hit MTV show by none other than former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s daughter. Bristol confirmed the news on July 20 with a behind-the-scenes photo of her kids and cameramen.

“I am excited to join MTV’s Teen Mom OG,” she wrote in the caption of the pic, which showed her three kids Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, 9, Sailor Grace Meyer, 2, and Atlee Bay Meyer, 1. “I look forward to sharing my experiences and hope that I can help others on their journey.”

On Sept. 11, Tyler’s wife, Catelynn Lowell, shared a pic with Bristol and the rest of the OG girls with the caption, “Nice meeting you ladies ❤️welcome to the #TeenMomOG side ? @bsmp2 @cheynotshy@macideshanebookout@realamberlportwood1__.”

Despite the sweet caption, Cate and Ty’s other fellow co-star, Maci Bookout, didn’t seem too excited about the producers’ decision either. “I think me and Catelynn and Amber [Portwood] are all pretty much on the same page,” she said on Kailyn Lowry‘s “Coffee Convos” podcast in August. “If they bring in new cast members, we don’t want it to be called Teen Mom OG because that’s not true if there’s new cast members.” She added, however, that “you can’t be mad at somebody for accepting an opportunity.”

Hmm… well, one thing’s for sure. It sounds like there won’t be any shortage of drama this season!
