She has some feelings about this. Kailyn Lowry of Teen Mom 2 fame doesn’t like it when her kids are referred to as half-siblings, even if that’s technically what they are. The reality TV star posted about this pet peeve on Twitter on May 20 in response to a clip from the Teen Mom 2 reunion in which Dr. Drew seemingly called them that. Check out the gallery below to learn more.
Kailyn, 27, rose to fame in the second season of reality television series 16 and Pregnant in 2010. She was later cast in the spinoff series Teen Mom 2.

Isaac
Her first pregnancy with her oldest son, Isaac Elliot Rivera, was captured for the world to see. She shares Isaac with her former boyfriend, Jo Rivera.
Kailyn also would have had a daughter with Javi, 26, but miscarried. That led to marital problems for the couple, and they eventually divorced.

Lux
Finally, in 2017, Kailyn gave birth to her third son, Lux Russell, with Chris Lopez. So yes, technically all of her kids are half-siblings.

Bros
But the Teen Mom franchise star has always made it very clear that in her mind, her kids are brothers, full stop.

Forever
For instance, in April 2018, Kail shared a photo of her boys playing, with one of the little tykes being pushed on a swing. “Brothers forever,” she captioned the adorable shot.

Happy Boys
She regularly posts photos of her boys all together, and it’s clear that she doesn’t see them as anything but brothers in one happy little family. They always look like 3 content little guys, too!

On Edge
Apparently, when anyone refers to her kids as anything but full brothers or implies such a thing, Kailyn’s hackles go up.

Stop
She shared a Teen Mom 2 reunion promo clip on Twitter in which the reality star says, “Stop saying that word. It pisses me off.” It’s not clear in the video what Kail is talking about, but she cleared up any confusion on the social media platform.

Touchy
“I got soooo mad about Dr. Drew calling my kids half-siblings,” Kailyn explained. Guess it’s a touchy subject for the TV personality.

She Knows
Kail continued, “I know, they are. But stop referring to them as half brothers every single time.” Her protective mama claws are out!

“Not Half Anything”
Some fans commended Kailyn for her remark. “As someone who only has half-siblings yeah it’s f–ked up I love them 💯 we’re not half anything,” one person responded.

Fair Point
Another replied, “I don’t agree with Kail often, but her point is that family is family. Her kids, they’re brothers. Period. Like you wouldn’t go around saying, ‘this is my adopted brother, Joe’ or ‘my half-brother Joe.’ You’d just say, ‘this is my brother Joe.'”

Can’t Win ‘Em All
However, other fans and followers weren’t so impressed with Kailyn’s response. (Can’t please everyone, right?)

Period
“In regards to your kids, you have bigger things to worry about,” someone else wrote. “They ARE half-brothers. Period. Thanks to your decision making they each are dragged into relationship drama and losing time with their siblings. 3×3 was your choice.” Yikes. Tell us how you really feel.

Agreed
For the most part, though, people agreed with Kail’s sentiment. “Somebody called my brothers my half siblings once [and] my grandpa yelled at them and said ‘do you see half a person walking around? No, so you better stop saying they’re half-siblings,'” one person commented. Go, grandpa!

Not the First Time
We’re willing to bet this is not the first time Kailyn has dealt with the “half-sibling” comment, and it probably won’t be the last. She probably has quite a bit of practice by now.
