Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Insist Jessa Is ‘Doing Great’ After Fans Fear for Her Well-Being
There’s no need to worry about Jessa Duggar, say parents Jim Bob and Michelle. Though the young Counting On star has all but disappeared from social media after giving birth to her daughter, Ivy Jane, the Duggars recently took to Instagram to reassure fans that everything is well. After the parents of 19 posted a photo of their son-in-law Ben Seewald taking his oldest, Spurgeon, out for some fun, the family’s followers took the opportunity to check in on how his wife is doing. In response, the reality stars admitted that there is a reason that their daughter hasn’t been active on social media, but it has nothing to do with any threats to her well-being.
“What is wrong with Jessa?” a fan commented on the photo of Ben, 24, and Spurgeon, 3, riding a merry-go-round. Another chimed in, “Why doesn’t Jessa post anymore? Everything OK?” The comments continued until one caught the family’s eye. When an Instagram user wrote, “Hope everything is OK with Jessa! She hasn’t posted in awhile, ❤️” the family finally put any rumors to rest. “She’s doing great!” Michelle, 52, and Jim Bob, 54, explained. “Busy taking care of her little ones!”
Though fans finally had answers, they had a few more messages for the family to pass along. “Just tell her we miss seeing her post and wish her well,” one fan responded. “That’s a relief! I have been so worried about her. Tell her we’d love to have an update!” said another. Some weren’t satisfied with the explanation, though. “Don’t answer for her,” an Instagram user commented.
It seems fans want to hear from Jessa, 26, herself. Recently, all of the updates on the family have come from the star’s parents, husband, siblings or in-laws — and her followers have found it more than a little suspicious. They’ve shared online that they’re praying for the star, expressing worries about how she’s handling having three kids. “Hope you’re OK and not getting too overwhelmed,” one fan tried to tell her in mid-August. Fans also worried about the star after it appeared she went to the hospital following Ivy’s birth. For now, it seems they’ll have to take her parents’ word for it.
