Thalia Almodovar From VH1’s ‘Beauty Bar’ First Rose to Fame as a Kim Kardashian Lookalike!
Now that VH1's new show Beauty Bar is well underway, there is one cast member that's standing out as a fan-favorite — makeup artist Thalia Almodovar! Who is Thalia?
Thalia is a New York native who works as a makeup artist at House of Dolls, the salon that is the of Beauty Bar. Since she's been friends with the shop's owner Henry for the longest, she definitely is the one who is always looking out for his best interests and it seems like she's his eyes and ears in the shop.
She's usually in the middle of all the drama.
Thalia constantly says that she is the best makeup artist at the salon, which definitely rubbed some of her co-workers the wrong way. "I would like to think I get along with everyone at the salon, but I know I don’t, I know deep down," she revealed in an interview with VH1. "There’s a lot of people that hate on me, but what can I do? I'm not a 100 dollar bill, not everyone's gonna love me."
She first earned fame as a Kim Kardashian lookalike.
In a 2015 interview with the Mirror, Thalia revealed that she is transgender and she had spent about $100,000 in plastic surgery in order to transform herself into the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star. She admitted that she had gotten a boob job and a fat transfer to her butt so that she could copy off of Kim's enviable curves.
"I also get collagen in my lips every six months — it makes me feel better about myself. I love being mistaken for Kim," she said. "I’d like to be famous for who I am, but why not?" Well, now she's making a name for herself as a makeup artist and as a reality star!
