Teresa Giudice Feels Trapped by Husband Joe’s Legal Woes: ‘She Wants to Move on With Her Life’
It’s an ongoing battle. Teresa Giudice has been doing her best to stay strong amidst her husband Joe Giudice’s legal woes, but she’s ready for the saga to come to an end. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 46, feels trapped by the whole situation and she’s eager to get some closure, a source tells In Touch exclusively.
“Teresa wants to move on with her life, but due to Joe’s deportation case it’s not that easy! It’s been over three years since Joe was sent to jail for fraud so it’s not surprising that Teresa feels like she doesn’t have a husband,” the insider revealed to In Touch exclusively.
On March 14, Joe, 46, was released from prison after completing a 41-month sentence, but he was immediately taken into the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Joe was reportedly transferred to a facility in western Pennsylvania which houses immigration detainees.
A judge ruled back in October 2018 that Joe must be deported to Italy since he pleaded guilty to multiple charges of fraud including mail, wire and bankruptcy in March 2014. “I’ve been here my whole life, I wouldn’t know what to do in any other country,” Joe said while pleading his case during the court hearing. “I want to stay here.”
As his legal team fights for him to stay in the United States, the Bravo star could end up staying in the detention center for up to a year until the appeal is processed. This waiting game is also impacting his wife, Teresa. “Now that there’s an appeal, who knows that the outcome is going to be, it’s really dragging on,” the source close to the RHONJ star added.
“Obviously Teresa still loves Joe, but she needs some kind of closure on what seems to be a never-ending legal battle,” the insider concluded. “She’s trying to have a good time without Joe, but feels trapped in their marriage.”
