Here’s How The Teen Moms Get Their Insta Pics To Look So Awesome… And You Can Do It Too! (EXCLUSIVE)
You may have noticed that Teen Mom stars like Chelsea Houska and Leah Messer have really upped their Instagram game recently. Their pics are always on point, with stunning popping colors and a dreamy, gorgeous feel. Well, it turns out their whole vibe is thanks to one woman: Jess Turnquist. Jess is an Instagram filter preset whiz who’s been making it easy for your favorite accounts to look perfect. And guess what? You can do it too!
When a fan straight-up asked Leah what filter she’s been using to make her family photos look like something out of a lifestyle magazine, she had no problem sharing her secret. “I use all the same filters on my photos, the filter is by @jessturnquist.” Chelsea has also been seen using the beautiful presets, so we chatted with the woman responsible for them.
Jess is also a devoted mom and blogger, and the fun hobby magically turned into a real job for her. “Like any parent, I love taking photos of my kids,” Jess told In Touch exclusively. “So I started to look into how to make my photos better. I did a lot of research and playing around with Lightroom and created my own!
I wanted to make it easy for other people to make their photos beautiful, too, so I decided to turn it into a little side business since my husband and I took a leap of faith with me staying home when our second child was born.”
She said she “loves” that the Teen Mom stars are using her presets, but she makes it easy for regular people to get that professional look, too. Simply go to her website HeresJess.com, purchase one of the presets (which range from $25 for a single re-usable preset to a bundle of five different ones for $120.) She couldn’t have made it easier: just download the Lightroom and Zip Viewers apps to your smartphone, open the zipped file from your purchased preset via email, open your pic in Lightroom and copy and paste the settings from the preset onto it. That’s it! However, you might need to do a tiny bit of adjusting to get it 100% perfect. “Lighting is everything! You may need to adjust the brightness or contrast but most of the work is done with my presets!” said Jess.
Jess was pleasantly surprised by how popular her presets have become. “I’m not sure why they are so popular, but I do know I put a lot of hard work and hours into them because this has become a passion of mine,” she told us. “And I also try to respond quickly to any questions because I want it to be as simple as possible for them.” BRB, copying Chelsea and Leah right now!
