ExclusiveTeen Mom 2’s Briana DeJesus Confronts Ex Luis Hernandez: ‘Why Haven’t You Been Around for Stella?’
Airing it out. Teen Mom 2 star Briana DeJesus confronted the father of her child, Luis Hernandez, in an In Touch exclusive sneak peek for the upcoming season 10 premiere of the hit MTV series. Briana, 26, popped up at Luis’ DJ appearance at a local club to ask him why he hasn’t visited their daughter, Stella, after he relocated back to Florida.
“I just want to have a good time. I’m not here to cause any trouble or to throw any drinks on Luis,” Briana told her best friend, Shirley, on their way to the club. Shirley said Bri might change her mind after having a little “liquid courage.”
Bri agreed and recited the list of questions she planned to ask the father of her youngest daughter. “Why haven’t you been around for Stella? How is it fair that you could live your life and I’m here taking care of your child all by myself, physically, financially, emotionally? Like, Stella has been in this world for two years and I can count how many times you’ve seen her on my f—king hand. Why is it like that?” she said.
After arriving at the lounge, and after sipping her drink, Briana followed her former flame outside for a chat. “How are you?” she asked. “How are you?” Luis responded. “Do you plan on seeing Stella, like what is going on?” Briana immediately asked.
Luis told Briana that he would come by to visit the next day, but Briana wasn’t buying it. “Wait, you said that last week,” she hit back. Luis explained that he was “trying to handle” his situation with his car, and Briana called him out.
“All these excuses, I just want you to be there for Stella because you are Stella’s dad,” she told him. “I know, I’m not trying to make an excuse,” Luis explained. “I’m not trying to do any of that. When I’m not working, and when I can’t provide, I go through my own s—t. And that’s just something I have to cope with myself.”
Briana insisted that Luis doesn’t need to “provide” for Stella, but Luis admitted while he knows Bri can take care of Stella, his pride still gets in the way. “As a man, I just feel like it’s sh—ty. It’s not that I don’t care, it’s not about that.”
After hearing Luis’ side, Bri broke down in tears. “You’re missing so much because she’s such like, an incredible little girl and I wish you were there to experience all of it,” she told him. “ And like all I wanted was you there, and you just wasn’t and it really hurt.”
Season 10 of Teen Mom 2 premieres on MTV Tuesday, September 1 at 8 p.m. ET.
