Falling off the wagon? Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps is drinking again — just 10 months after she completed rehab. “Per her New York Probation Officer, [she had] an alcohol test conducted on 04/21/2019,” new court documents obtained by In Touch reveal. “[Luann] admitting to drinking two glasses of mimosas after a performance she had in Chicago.”
So, is the 53-year-old headed back to a facility to get help? Apparently, she was “offered the opportunity to immediately enroll in outpatient treatment” after her relapse but rejected the proposal due to her Countess and Friends cabaret touring schedule.
Additionally, the mother of two “was also given the option to be fitted with an alcohol and ankle monitoring device in which she declined.” The TV personality said it would be “too intrusive.”
“De Lesseps stated her touring schedule will impact treatment participation,” the docs read. The paperwork also explained that the Bravo starlet “believes that increased participation in AA meetings would suffice” but “this does not address relapse.” Right now, the court is still figuring out how to “proceed in this matter.”
In January 2018 — just a couple of weeks after she was arrested in Palm Beach, Florida — Luann checked herself into a facility. Then, the Connecticut native went back to treatment in July 2018 after she relapsed.
Despite Luann recent challenges, she is trying to move forward with her life. “I take it day by day. Every day is a struggle, and I’m no different than anyone else,” she told Us Weekly in March. “I do the best that I can do. I get on the stage and that keeps me busy, and it keeps me focused on my cabaret, and I get to put my creative energy into that, and it keeps me out of trouble. I’m just doing yoga and taking care of myself and hanging out with less people that are prone to partying.”
The “Girl Code” crooner made it clear that she is focused on her health. “I filmed an entire season without drinking. If you can get through Housewives without drinking, you can get through anything,” she explained.
You got this, girl!
