Here’s the thing about the Alaskan Bush People — they do tend to hide their romantic relationships from the cameras. But in a recent Instagram interaction, Rain Brown reassured fans that she isn’t part of that trend. After her followers spotted what looked like a large engagement ring on her ring finger in a pic with her new pup, they couldn’t help but wonder if there was something she hadn’t shared. “Omg, RAIN, did I miss something??” wrote one, adding a ring emoji to cement her point. “Did you get married??” chimed in another. Luckily, the 16-year-old put the rumors to rest pretty much immediately.
“Not a wedding ring, lolz,” the teenage Discovery Channel star responded in an Instagram comment. She also added a hashtag to her picture caption to avoid further confusion, amending the whole thing to read, “Four weeks with this little dude has changed my life. … I feel like I’ve known you forever, and I have never been happier, Jakson. I promise to pamper you forever. Love, mama #stayhappy #staystrong#notaweddingring”
Though the star is a little young to tie the knot, we can see how fans might be easily confused. After all, she wouldn’t be the first Brown on the family tree to get married young. Her dad, Billy Brown, was only 16 at the time of his first marriage. And Ami Brown was allegedly even younger at just 15 when she and Billy wed. It also wouldn’t be too shocking if Rain had managed to hide a relationship from fans.
Her brother Gabe Brown got married in secret in February 2019. Radar Online reported that the couple had walked down the aisle on January 14 even though the news didn’t break for almost a month. Oldest brother Matt Brown is allegedly living in California with a girlfriend he hasn’t yet introduced to fans either. Multiple members of the family have kept their romances off-screen for years — and Rain certainly wouldn’t be the first. Luckily, that’s not the case just yet. Though she may be an old soul, we’d like to see her get to be a kid for a little longer before she settles down.
