She’s here! Meghan Markle gave birth to baby No. 2, a daughter named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, with husband Prince Harry on Friday, June 4. The former senior royals also share son Archie Harrison, who was born in May 2019.

“It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world,” a statement from the press secretary for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed on Sunday, June 6. ”Both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home.” The little girl was delivered “in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.”

Shortly after, the royal family shared a sweet message to the couple on their newest addition. “Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of Lilibet Diana! The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news,” read a statement shared via Instagram. “Lilibet is Her Majesty’s 11th great-grandchild.”

Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, are clearly in baby bliss since welcoming their new addition. Luckily, 2-year-old Archie was also excited to become a big brother before the arrival of his sibling.

“Archie can’t wait to meet his baby sister and loves putting his hand on his mummy’s tummy and feeling the baby move,” a source gushed to Life & Style in early April. “He’s such a caring, bright, loving little boy and is super advanced for his age.”

The adorable toddler got lots of bonding time with his parents as they anxiously awaited baby No. 2. “To wind down and switch off they go for family walks on the beach and spend time in their beautiful garden,” the source added. “Archie’s a real water baby and loves being in the pool. Harry can’t wait to teach him to swim this summer.”

The former Suits actress and philanthropist, who wed in May 2018, announced Meghan’s pregnancy in February. The following month, the pair revealed they were having a girl during their tell-all CBS interview.

Harry said he felt “amazing” and was “grateful” to have another baby on the way. “Like to have any child, any one or any two would have been amazing. But to have a boy and then a girl, what more could you ask for?” he continued. “We got our family — the four of us and our two dogs, it’s great.”

Their joyous news came months after Meghan opened up about suffering a devastating miscarriage in July 2020. She recalled feeling a “sharp cramp” while changing Archie’s diaper in an op-ed for the New York Times, which was published in November 2020.

“I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right,” she wrote. “I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second.”

Luckily, the couple safely welcomed their rainbow baby. Congrats!
