Pete Davidson Makes His Big Return to Instagram After 4-Month Hiatus
After four months of staying off social media, Pete Davidson finally re-activated his Instagram account on Tuesday, April 9. The comedian shared a cute video of himself when he was younger playing around with a toy eyeball … yeah, sounds about right.
So, what did he upload? Well, he shared three posts within a minute, but two of them were just blank images. The important snap shared information about his upcoming tour dates. “April 14 — Providence, RI @ Providence PAC. April 26 — Easton, PA @ State Theatre for the Arts. April 28 — Baltimore, MD @ Meyehoff Symphony Hall. W/ @johnmulaney. See ya there,” he wrote.
Many of his followers explained how happy they were that the SNL star, 25, had returned. One person wrote, “Missed you,” while another echoed, “Welcome back, Pete.” A third chimed in, writing, “Love you Pete!! Hope you are doing well!!”
In December 2018, the Staten Island native was going through a tough time as he and his former fiancée, Ariana Grande, broke things off. In response, Pete shared a cryptic message on his profile. “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. I’m doing my best to stay here for you, but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last,” he said at the time. “All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so.”
Since then, the Trainwreck alum decided it was for the best to stay offline. “I can’t go on that for obvious reasons,” he told Variety in January. “Just don’t go online. It doesn’t make me very happy. Even if it’s not about me, it’s random s–t … I’m not a fan of it.”
Even Pete’s girlfriend, Kate Beckinsale, followed in his footsteps since she got rid of all of her Instagram posts in late March. Many fans speculated that it was because she was sick of hearing that she was so much older than her beau.
However, after almost a week without the addictive app, the brunette beauty, 45, decided to get re-join the ‘Gram. “Back to business,” she wrote in her first post.
Well, it seems like maybe Kate influenced Pete to share his life with the public again? Whatever it was, we are just happy to see Pete back in action!
