She underwent surgery to help with the pain, but Danielle Busby still has a long way to go before she’s out of the woods. After revealing that she had a hysterectomy in order to combat the side effects she was still struggling with after having quintuplets, the OutDaughtered star revealed she’s still recovering. As it turns out, that recovery isn’t easy. On Monday, November 18, she gave fans an update on how she’s feeling — and it’s not good.

“What a morning!!! 😱😭 I experienced the worst physical pain I have ever had in my life at my doctor’s office this morning,” Danielle, 35, told her followers on Instagram. “And as I lay down on the couch, with my ‘guard dog’ 🐶 [Beaux Busby], I realized what shirt [Adam Busby] gave me this morning when I told him I needed one of his shirts to wear.” In the photo accompanying the post, the mom showed off her “Have a Nice Day” tee. “LOL! That’s all I want … a nice day and the pain to go away!”

On November 12, the mom of six headed to the hospital for her major medical procedure. “I know this isn’t something we haven’t ever really shared or talked about, but life physically after having quintuplets has been super painful, challenging, hard,” she told the family’s fans in a YouTube vlog she and Adam, 37, shared later that day. “I’m so proud of my body for being able to carry the girls for 28 weeks and have five healthy babies who are now 4 [years old] … but the past three years have been really, really filled with a lot of physical pain.”

The star admitted that her complicated pregnancy led her to develop PCOS, polycystic ovary syndrome. “Cysts keep forming on my ovaries, and they keep rupturing, which is just unbearable,” she explained. The surgery aimed to eliminate all of the aches and pains her uterus was causing her, and hopefully, she’ll feel better down the road. For now, though, the healing process isn’t particularly pleasant. Luckily, she’s got her man by her side, ready to help every step of the way.

Danielle’s fellow TLC stars also have her back. And so do six very sweet little girls. “My little Hazel 💕[is] telling myself lots of good stories and waiting to see all my bobos, haha,” she captioned a selfie with one of her daughters as she relaxed and recovered at home. “The girls have been so sweet and helping me walk my laps around the house holding my hand. #blessed”
