Nick Gordon Cause of Death Revealed: Bobbi Kristina’s Ex Died of Heroin Overdose
The results are in. Bobbi Kristina‘s ex-boyfriend, Nick Gordon, died of an “accidental” heroin overdose, In Touch can confirm. Gordon was found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest at a Sheraton Hotel on the morning of January 1, according to the autopsy report. He was resuscitated and received medical attention for seven hours at Advent Health Altamonte Springs hospital in Florida prior to his untimely passing at the age of 30.
There were also traces of Narcan found in his system, which is used to treat a narcotic overdose in an emergency situation.
News about Gordon’s death broke on New Year’s Day and it was speculated that he died from a drug overdose. He reportedly had “a series of heart attacks” while celebrating the holiday the night before. Doctors were unable to revive him at the hospital, despite their best efforts. In the wake of his passing, Gordon’s attorney Randall Kessler released a statement.
“This is a tragic ending to Nick’s troubled life,” he wrote. “Nick Gordon’s story is an epic tragedy. He lived a life that outsiders may have envied but truly he was alone. Until Bobbi Kristina passed, he had a true partner and I do not think he ever recovered, or ever would have recovered from her loss. And it seemed the whole world was against him. I pray he is able to rest in peace.”
Gordon’s death came four years after Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter tragically lost her life at the age of 22. Brown was placed in a medically-induced coma after being found face down in a bathtub back in January 2015, but unfortunately, she died six months later in hospice care. Her cause of death was later revealed to be Lobar pneumonia due to the combination of water immersion and drug intoxication.
Brown’s ex Gordon was held “legally responsible” for her wrongful death in a civil case, but he never faced criminal charges.
When Gordon’s death was confirmed in January 2020, his brother, Junior Walker, mourned the loss in a heart-wrenching post on Facebook. “I love you so much big brother I hope you heard me talking to you at your bedside you are with me and I can feel it I love you I love you I love you watch over me and your nieces s–t wasn’t suppose to go like this,” he wrote.
We’re keeping all those impacted by this tragedy in our thoughts.
