‘My 600-lb Life’ Star Sarah Neeley Suffers Heartbreaking Miscarriage Amid Weight Loss Journey

Our hearts go out to her. My 600-lb Life star Sarah Neeley reportedly suffered a devastating miscarriage while filming her Where Are They Now? episode, which airs tonight, June 5. The TLC alum will be giving an update about her weight loss journey on the follow-up, and it looks like she will also be sharing more details about what happened in the last few months.

Sarah opened up about her traumatic experience in a since-deleted Facebook post shared on April 26. “A few days ago, I signed myself into a [mental] health facility to get help with my depression and anxiety. Well the second night there I woke up to horrible pains … I’ve been hinting around to you all that I was pregnant,” the post begins, according to a screengrab captured by Starcasm.

“I was a little over 4 [months], but I lost the baby. I’m hurting in a way I never knew a person could hurt,” the reality star continued, while addressing her heartbreak. “I’m hurting deep in my soul. How could god let this happen … I don’t know … on top of this the cameras are rolling. I’m exhausted. I’m just done. For a split second I had a purpose. My purpose is gone,” she wrote.

Based on the synopsis of season 7 episode 24, it appears that Sarah will address her miscarriage, even though it will obviously be a painful and sensitive topic to discuss. “A major life event sends Sarah into a depression that she must pull herself out of if she wants to keep losing weight,” the description reads. She’ll be sharing the episode with Lee Sutton and Rena Kiser, who are also dealing with some big life changes of their own. The couple reportedly called it quits.

Sarah, from Dayton, Ohio, captivated fans when she first appeared on the hit reality show in 2018, tipping the scales at 642 pounds. Though she failed to shed the extra pounds at first, Sarah eventually qualified for a gastrectomy and had 80 percent of her stomach removed. The reality star later unveiled her incredible body transformation, having gone down to 393 pounds after losing 260 pounds. In recent months, it was reported that she lost even more weight.
